The OTC DAIHEN WB-P500L is the flagship model that proudly stands out across the entire WB series, with the “L” representing Low Spatter (Ultra-Low Spatter). It not only possesses all the 500A heavy-duty pulse functions of the standard P500 but is also equipped with the exclusive CBT-EX waveform control technology, which can astonishingly reduce welding spatter by over 80%, achieving true “grinding-free” operations. After rigorous sorting by our technical team, we have eliminated redundant duplicates from outdated materials and refined the 5 core standard factory configurations of the P500L to handle different materials and working conditions.
1. Welding Expert Guide: Core Hardware Secrets of P500L Ultra-Low Spatter
To unleash the “ultra-low spatter” potential of the P500L, the supporting hardware must be absolutely precise; never mix and match:
- The Only Ultra-Low Spatter Switch (CMV-7402): Only when paired with the CMV-7402 servo-controlled wire feeder (Configuration 1) can the P500L achieve ultra-low spatter! The servo motor inside this wire feeder coordinates with the current to perform microsecond-level “wire retraction” actions. If replaced with a standard CM or CMA wire feeder, the P500L will only function as a conventional pulse welder.
- The Difference Between 220V and 36V Flow Meters: The ultra-low spatter configuration (Configuration 1) must use the W-198-220V flow meter because the mainboard’s power supply channel is occupied by the servo system. Other conventional pulse configurations use the standard 36V flow meter. Buying the wrong one will directly result in the flow meter failing to heat!
- Mandatory Water-Cooling System: When using the P500L for continuous welding of thick plates (>350A), be sure to select a water-cooled configuration (Configuration 2, Configuration 5) to prevent the welding torch from burning out due to overheating.
