The OTC DAIHEN P500L welding machine is widely used in various steel structure welding applications due to its excellent arc control performance. For horizontal fillet welds in CO₂ gas shielded welding, the parameter settings directly determine the weld formation quality. Below is the standard welding process parameter table for the P500L, compiled for technical reference.
OTC P500L CO₂ Horizontal Fillet Weld Parameter Quick Reference Table
The data in the table below applies to different plate thicknesses. Please fine-tune these settings based on actual working conditions before operation:
| Plate Thickness t (mm) |
Leg Length L (mm) |
Wire Diameter (mm) |
Current (A) |
Voltage (V) |
Speed (cm/min) |
Gas Flow (L/min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.2 | 2.5-3.0 | 0.9/1.0 | 70-100 | 18-19 | 50-60 | 10-15 |

Important Parameter Setting Notes
- Shielding Gas: The CO₂ flow rate needs to increase with plate thickness. It is recommended to appropriately increase the gas flow during thick plate welding.
- Welding Speed: Moving too fast will result in underfilled weld formations, while moving too slow can easily cause overheating deformation.
- Original Consumables: Using genuine original contact tips and nozzles helps maintain a stable arc.
