4813-001 Solenoid Valve

SKU: 4813-001 Categories: , Brand:

Genuine OTC Daihen 4813-001 Gas Solenoid Valve (Shielding Gas Control Valve). Designed as the primary gas control valve for OTC MIG/MAG and TIG welding power sources, this OEM solenoid valve features an industrial heavy-duty excitation coil and a wear-resistant, corrosion-proof valve spool assembly. It delivers millisecond opening and closing response, executing pre-flow and post-flow timing commands accurately. Eliminates gas waste from leaking valves and weld porosity caused by delayed gas delivery.

OTC Daihen Genuine Welding Gas Solenoid Valve 4813-001 (Gas Control Valve)

4813-001 is an official OEM genuine gas solenoid valve custom-engineered by OTC Daihen for gas-shielded welding machines (MIG/MAG/TIG). Acting as the master gatekeeper for CO2, argon, or mixed shielding gas, this valve features an industrial pure-copper excitation coil and a corrosion-resistant, high-durability internal sealing spool. It responds in milliseconds to PCB logic commands, ensuring accurate pre-flow gas shielding before arc ignition and post-flow protection during crater solidification. Replacing faulty valves with original 4813-001 components eliminates continuous gas leakage (high gas bills), weld porosity caused by delayed gas flow, and spool sticking.

🔧 On-Site Pneumatic Installation & Solenoid Valve Guide (Essential Reading)

  • Number One Cause of Leaking Valves: When shielding gas continues hissing after welding stops, the valve is rarely worn out—rust, scale, or dust from gas cylinders has jammed the internal sealing gasket! Purge gas hoses before connecting them to new valves, and install an inline gas filter after the regulator to prevent debris from clogging spools.
  • Never Reverse Inlet and Outlet Ports: Observe directional airflow arrows (IN/OUT) stamped on the valve body. Reversing inlet and outlet tubes allows cylinder gas pressure to force the spool open, causing continuous gas leakage that cannot be shut off electrically.
  • Coil Burnout Diagnostics: If new solenoid coils burn out repeatedly, test PCB driving voltage with a multimeter. Excessively high driving voltage or mechanically jammed spools overheat and melt excitation coils.
  • Secure Hose Clamping: Push clear gas hoses fully onto barbed nipples and secure with quality hose clamps or nylon ties. Micro-leaks waste expensive shielding gas and aspirate air into the stream, causing weld porosity.
