- Coolant Circulation Monitoring: Never initiate the plasma arc without verifying water coolant flow from the CU-102 cooling unit. A flow restriction will vaporize the internal torch electrode within seconds of arc ignition.
- Air Pressure & Flow Rate: At 120A continuous output, high air consumption is required to eject heavy molten dross from thick-plate kerfs. Maintain compressor supply pressure at no less than 0.6 MPa (6.0 bar) during active cutting.
- Automated CNC Piercing: When integrated with a CNC cutting carriage or robot, program an automatic torch height control (THC) pierce retraction to lift the torch to 8–10 mm during initial arc punch, protecting the water-cooled nozzle from upward dross splatter.
