  • Never Use Nozzles as Slag Hammers: Never strike steel plates with the KA3116 nozzle to knock away slag! Copper alloy is malleable; mechanical impact deforms the 16mm circular orifice into an oval profile. Deformed openings cause gas turbulence, arc deflection, and severe weld porosity.
  • Prevent Spatter Bridging & Short Circuits: Heavy-amperage welding generates spatter buildup inside the nozzle. If spatter bridges the gap between the nozzle and energized contact tip, accidental contact with grounded workpieces causes destructive short circuits. Clean inner walls regularly with nozzle pliers and apply anti-spatter compound.
