  • Fatal Mixing of U-Groove and V-Groove: The V-groove has a sharp bottom, providing extremely strong frictional bite force, only applicable to hard solid carbon steel or stainless steel welding wire. If soft aluminum or flux-cored wire is mistakenly placed in a V-groove and pressurized, it will cause the wire to be severely flattened, scraped, or even ruptured. Aluminum and flux-cored wires must use U-grooves with a smooth bottom (such as the K5463R series), using surface extrusion instead of tip biting to protect the cross-sectional structure of the wire.
  • Invisible Blockage of the Guide Tube (U2586F01/F02): The guide tube located at the exit of the wire feed roller is a “disaster zone” for collecting peeling copper dust and iron powder from the wire surface. Accumulated metal dust will form hard blocks here, doubling the wire feed resistance and ultimately triggering the servo motor E-210 overload alarm. It is recommended that maintenance personnel remove the outlet guide tube and forcefully blow it forwards and backwards with high-pressure anhydrous compressed air every time a full spool of wire is replaced.
  • Balance Adjustment of 4-Wheel Drive Pressure: The AFA4012C is a fully 4-wheel driven design. When adjusting the pressure handle, the scale lines of the front and rear pressure arms must be kept consistent. Low pressure will cause wire slipping and retracting during high-speed emergency stops; excessive pressure will accelerate the wear of the motor spindle bearing and deform the wire. The correct pressure should be: when tightly pinching the tip of the welding wire with fingers, the wire feed roller can just slip slightly.
